After watching the movie "The girl on the train movie" I realized that it was based on a book. So I checked out the author's works and I was interested in her book 'Into the water'.

After that, I wanted to buy the book but I couldn't do so immediately. But later a friend of mine bought the book for me. And I should say the author has a knack for writing a mind-bending mystery. The murder mystery of an elder sister to be uncovered by her sister is the oneliner for the book.

That is not what it is all about. Just like always, the murder mystery goes on with investigations and slow addition of backstories of the characters to make us suspect each of them.

But what is special about the book is how it touches on a few issues like rape, abuse of power, statutory rape. The book is not only about these sensitive issues. But it is a murder mystery that slowly unravels these issues which are also related to the story.

But the reveal of the real killer was shocking and the murder was a cold-blooded one. I've to mention this because during the story it is even suspected as an accident.

The book is a good mystery that will slowly unfold before making you assume a lot of things only to fool you at the end by revealing the killer.
