I reviewed the first two episodes of the series separately. Check out my previous blog!

After completing the series I felt both happy and a bit unsatisfied. The picturization, acting, and the locations are marvelous. When I completed the series I felt as though I had been taken to the 1950s and walked the newly independent India's streets.

My special appreciation for the background score is for using blissful traditional music. Every time I heard the background score I wanted to hear more.

In the complete storyline, there are best parts such as Lata deciding for herself who she wants to marry at the end, the final twist in the story about Saeeda bai's sister, Maan's complete story arc, Maan and Firoz's friendship.

The things I loved about the production of series include the breathtaking cinematography, music, and amazing direction by Mira Nair. The settings and costumes were all wonderfully done.

The actors who play Lata, Kabir, Haresh, Maan, Saeeda, Firoz are all remarkable. There are also other amazing characters like Maan's father, Lata's mother, Nawab. The series also will grab your attention towards the early 1950s India's politics and pique your interest in historical events happening at the time.

But now for the things I didn't enjoy about the series include (SPOILER!!) how Lata and Kabir didn't even have a proper conversation about ending things. The part when Kabir saw Lata getting married, I was so mad that the last conversation they had was so feeble and meaningless. They didn't have closure at all. I did understand why Lata chose Haresh over Kabir. And Haresh is such a good guy who deserves all happiness just as much as Kabir. So I was partially happy that Haresh and Lata got married.(SPOILER!!)

Nevertheless, the suitable boy is a feel-good mini-series which is certainly enjoyable except if you are (SPOILER) a hard shipper of Lata and Kabir! (SPOILER)
